Year Six Class Page

A big warm welcome to Year 6.

This year, Year 6 will be taught by Mrs Hoyle, with the support of Mrs Wilcox.

As a school, we believe in Jesus’ golden rule ‘To love one another as I have loved you’ which is foremost in our mission statement. We ask all our students to live through and demonstrate the values and virtues we cover in SMSVC lessons throughout their time in year 6. We ask them to be learned and wise- as they prepare for their SATs, compassionate and loving- in the way they treat their classmates and faith-filled and hopeful- as they prepare for their confirmation and continue their journey of faith.

During their final year at St. Cuthbert’s, we will strive to ensure that our wonderful Year 6 children continue to grow and have the perseverance to overcome any obstacles. Children will be given opportunities to use and discover their many talents and experience an engaging curriculum to help prepare them for Secondary school.  We will support and encourage your children in all aspects of their continued growth, both socially and academically, helping to prepare them to be a resilient, hard-working and caring members of our wider community.

St Justin Russolillo is our class saint, he is the patron of the vacationist, of whom our priest are members. We ask St Justin will help, support and guide as we choose our vocation in life.

We cannot wait to begin this wonderful journey with Year 6, we hope they make the most of the opportunities presented to them this year. If you do have any questions, please feel free to come and speak with us.
